Re: How to build a shallow water area
In the recent paper on the REALCOOL project (see our website news for link) we showed how to change turbidity and mixing in water layers. However, in shallow waters, the heating or cooling comes from the ground of the pond. We do not solve a second surface energy balance for the ground. The impact o...

Re: Spaces - Fill ans Draw Functions
Hi Dirk
if the OSM is not accurate enough you might use SHP files from the official data. There should not be too many problems with them.
The option to add aereal photos will added in Monde, but Spaces most likely will not get furher updates

Re: Validation and Calibration
Validate what? Your data or the model? And what part of the data and model? No you need much much data etc. Also it won‘t make much sense to try to validate a model that has been validated dozens of times before. In the end you only validate the accuracy of your input data and boundary conditions et...

Re: Validation and Calibration
you cannot calibrate model with just a few data in one height....
In most of the times the calibration if your used inout data is the main work anyway..

Re: Geometry
Basically if a polygon is within another polygon this is a non- standard situation. Some people use this to generate holes in closed polys by defining the points anti-clockwise. Monde recognoizes this method and defines those as erase polygons. All other situations are undefined and the larger polgo...

I may add that in the DataNavigator Settings you can pre-define text including some macros that is used each time an extract has been done

In general PMV and PPD is very retro... In 2020 no study should use this 1980ies approach anymore

Re: a lot of time need to analyse.
your domain is very large in the z direction!
Try to decrease down to 25 to 30 grids, maybe you need telescoping grids if you have high buildings but that doesn‘t seem to be the case from your figure

Re: SHP file-import problem
I am not quite sure what the problem exactly is.. The subarea is not rotated as you see from the figures. If the size is not or ok, you can resize or move it anytime. Can you specity what the problem is exactly with the SHP file? If the size does not match, check the coordinate system. Monde suports...

Did you check the state of these little buttons left to the material drop downbox?
They must be pressed (down) to apply materials

Re: Problem: Max iterations for t_soil[0] reached & error in max temperature change
Max iteration reached means that the model could not find a surface temperature that has an energy balance of zero. Hence the surface temperature will get more or less random values and the rest is a consequence of that. Mist of the times there is a mistake in the database especially as all other va...
