Re: Too many machines registered.

Hi,

Yes, we just tested the tool again. It works fine. Could you further describe the problem?

Re: Instability error when using higher domain resolution

Hi,

I started it again, this time with Active Chemistry. It also ran successfully.

Re: Dividing Model

Hi, Delete them again by the Cut Area Tool. Add them by the Add empty cell Tool... Those tools need to be used carefully however. The often destroy the model area so that they cannot be used for a simulation later on. If you want to be sure, you need to digitize those small areas again from scratch....

Re: Instability error when using higher domain resolution

Hi Kevin,

I ran this model area again with the SIMX file of AvRepublica_baseline_2m_teste2. Active Chemistry is disabled there. Is it enabled in your simulation?
The model runs perfectly fine.

Re: Dividing Model

Hi,

You could try to use the Cut Area Tool in Spaces. One time cutting it one piece and another time in the second piece.

Re: License Error

Hi Ilaria,

Yes, unfortunately it is the only possible solution. If you set SOR to old mode n the super expert settings in the ENVIguide, the results should be the same. Only bugfixes were applied besides the change of the default SOR mode to be used.

Re: Roof PV

Hi,

Well, you may doublecheck that with the values of those materials (average them again and compare). I would have thought that it would be the simple concrete.

Re: Installation of ENVI-met

Hi Maurizio,

Yes, you can install it in a new folder and run two ENVI-met's on one PC.
However, validating the license and thus running of simulations only works on 4.4.5.

Re: Roof PV

Hi,

It is an already averaged material consisting out of the materials mentioned in the brackets (concrete, moderate insulation and plaster). Those materials are found in the Default folder.

Re: Convert EDX to NetCDF

Hi,

No, they need to be opened by third party software like R or ParaView, QGIS... etc.

Re: Convert EDX to NetCDF

Hi,

They are added within the folder that you specified, if you enter e.g. the full path an then atmosphere, the atmosphere outputs are calculated and added to the atmosphere folder.
In your newest screenshot, the path only shows to the main output folder but not to atmosphere.

Re: CSV file creation

Hi,

Did you check the file in a text editor?
Decimal separator needs to be different to value separator (e.g. a dot instead of comma).
Don't use quotes (").
In newer ENVI-met versions you need an additional precipitation column.

Re: Wind speed at the inflow

Hi,

Please check scientific papers about this, e.g. Simulating surface–plant–air interactions inside urban environments with a three dimensional numerical model from Bruse and Fleer 1998.

Best regards,
Tim
