Hi Louise,
Those are just warning and should not be a larger issue in general.
If the simulation is still running (you may check that in TaskManager), the output files will be written.
Best regards,
Tim

Hi,
No, LAD is leaf area [m²] per air volume [m³] and should thus be the same.

Tim

Hi David,
No, I don't know if there is any. I would search for it on Google Scholar etc.

Hi Clara,
No, that is absolutely normal. EDX is the header file and EDT is the binary file. Both are needed to open the output in Leonardo.

Tim

Hi Andi,
I don't think that it will drastically change the amount of water that is taken up by the plants. However, we did not examine that in detail, yet.
Best regards,
Tim

Re: Increased temperature near added tree simulation
Hi Kayley, It can be that the (hot) leaves lead to an increased reflection of shortwave and longwave radiation which leads to higher TMRT and surface temperatures in the surrounding. You could see what effect it may have if you exchange the trees (e.g. very dense trees by sparse trees). However, we ...

Re: Instability issue leading to Invalid T0 for outside wall
Hi Gokul, Yes, finding the reason for the issue is always a bit tricky and of course a combination of everything. You could also try to lower the wind speed to 1.5 m/s and see if that works better. It is strange that the SimpleForcing seems to lead to the issues when it was corrected. You seem to ha...

Hi Ella,
If you changed the parameters and closed Biomet after the calculation, you cannot restore the settings.

Hi,
Facade greenery is not displayed by SpecialLayers in Leonardo.
You can export Greening and/or substrate variables, see here for more: https://envi-met.info/doku.php?id=filer ... :buildings

Re: Soil under Vegetation
Hi Andi,
You need to update the soil profile below the vegetation. If you are exporting the model area from Monde, you can specify that the soil profile is changed automatically below plants (under More Options).
Best regards,
Tim

Hi,
Pollutant sources do not heat up or cool down air temperatures. Only water spray affects the temperature.

Re: Instability issue leading to Invalid T0 for outside wall
Hi Gokul, Yes, SimpleForcing considers the diurnal cycle as the temperature/humidity value for each hour of the day and is not related to your simulation start time or duration. For example, if you run the simulation for a week, every 7 am timestep of each day will have the same inflow temperature a...

Re: Creating Gable Roof
Hi Tara, If you digitize your building, the walls are digitized at the sides and the roof is digitized at the top. It would of course be better, if we could somehow create sloped roofs but it is simply not possible. Every voxel is either filled out by building or not. Your roof will thus look like a...

Re: Creating Gable Roof
Hi Tara,
The only way of successfully digitizing a gable roof is to build kind of roof stairs. They get of course more accurate in higher resolution. However, I would not go to 1 m resolution. 2 m should absolutely be fine enough.
Best regards,
Tim
