Re: how to export the information of wall facets, e.g. wall temperature, to excel or txt document to check the exact val

Hi Jinxin,

For 2D data, you need to go the tab Data and then click on Export map layer to get the values for all cells.
Since walls and roofs are only available for 3D data, I don't think that it'll work.

Re: Singwalls and reflected shortwave radiation(IVS on)

Hi, 1. Now, I think that I understood your issue and I agree that the results should be different. However, as I said we are reworking IVS in total, such errors will probably be gone with the new version but we will check that. 2. Yes, of course, you could digitize a building such as a SingleWall st...

Re: How to build Multi-layer balcony in Space?

Hi,

You only need to Convert to Detail Design (3D) with the right button of the toolbar on top.

Re: problem of emission rate

Hi Tian, 1. I think both of your suggestions make a huge difference. Enabling tree calendar and adding sources whereever they might be within the model area. Also double check that you forced the correct wind direction and speed. It could be that measurements of wind were influenced by local conditi...

Re: the temperature, the humidity or the co2 field has become unstable

Hi Nathalia, Okay hm, that is strange. No, the buildings around the cell should not be a problem in general. However, according to your screenshot there are pretty low wind speeds incoming. Within such a courtyard with high buildings around, the wind speed might be very very low and could lead someh...

Re: Simulation Check "Logic Error" - Required Wall

Hi,

I am not sure about that. Could be that those cells are handled as building cells somehow. I think it would definitely better to delete them to be sure.

Re: Singwalls and reflected shortwave radiation(IVS on)

Hi Jack, I am happy as well to write with you again! 1. No, there is no output for the front and the back. The values are averaged and this average value of front and back is included in the output. 3. I don't see any reason in your files why the results should be like that. However, you should know...

Re: the temperature, the humidity or the co2 field has become unstable

Hi Nathalia, It can have multiple issues, not only connected to SingleWalls or ghost cells. However, we also recognized that this error occurs randomly sometimes. So, if it was a random error without reason, it may not occur if you simply restart the simulation. We are currently in the hunt for the ...

Re: Singwalls and reflected shortwave radiation(IVS on)

Hi Jack, 1. Yes, they are distinguished. In the output, the average of front and back is displayed. 2. You cannot build a 2.5 m SingleWall. You can try it in Spaces and set a 2 m and a 3 m building next to it. Your 2.5 m SingleWall is reduced to a 2 m SingleWall and then fit in your resolution being...

Re: Simulation Check "Logic Error" - Required Wall

Hi,

Do you use Nesting Cells? If yes then I would advice to disable them.
Delete buildings near the borders to get some empty cells there.

Re: Can surface temperature under buildings default to black?

Hi, You could use map script function and insert this code: var i,j: Integer; Begin {Edit your code here for the main routine} for i := 0 to map_xgrids -1 do for j:= 0 to map_ygrids -1 do if mapdata('Data2D',i,j) < 19.86 then begin mapdata('Special2D',i,j) := -999; end; Redraw; end; It writes -999 i...

Re: Confused simulated air temperature

Hi Long,

Yes, of course, problems with wind direction changes are especially caused by buildings near the border. Increasing the open space at the borders is always a good idea to increase stability.

Re: effect of green wall on building

Hi, Main focus of ENVI-met definitely is the outdoor microclimate. We do have the output variable for building indoor temperature and longwave energy balance of the facades but they cannot be as accurate as Building Performance Simulation models (e.g. TRNSYS) which are perfectly fit for that purpose...

Re: Error: Greening defined without wall ID "01AGSS" (X wall). Deleting greening

Hi, I checked the small 2.5D model area with a simple SIMX file with only SimpleForcing activated and it ran successfully. I used the latest version available online (from last week). Maybe there was a hidden bug causing that and if you use the newest version it runs. Otherwise, a SIMX option causes...

Re: error

Hi Ella,

The values for the timesteps where both intervals overlap (in your case every 10 minutes) should be the same. If you average all values, there can be differences since the 1 min interval output has more data points.

Tim
