Re: Full forcing with a very strange solar radiation output

Hi Zhixin Liu,

When importing the CSV in the ForcingManager, you need to uncheck the box "Radiation measured on horizontal surface".

Hi Karen,

Are you using ENVI-met version 4.4.6?

Re: total simulation time

Hi,

No, unfortunately you have to restart the simulation from the beginning.

Re: deleting total single wall

Hi,

If you really want to delete all SingleWalls, you may open the SIMX file in a text editor such as Notepad++. Near the end of the file, you will find the SingleWall tags. Delete lines between the opening and closing tag of SingleWalls.

Re: Some problems in Leonardo

Hi Karen, Tree cover should case shading thus lowering the temperatures, yes. You checked the shading flag in the beginning. However, I'd suggest that you check the radiation output folder and the direct shortwave radiation output to verify the shading effect of your trees as you were not sure if th...

Re: Some problems in Leonardo

Hi,

Okay, LAD of 0.3 is rather low but should definitely be recognizable in the direct shortwave radiation value comparison.

Re: Version 4.4.6 installation problem

Hi,

You don't seem to have writing access on that drive. Workspace file, databases etc. can thus not be created/changed. Please install it on a drive where you have full writing access.

Re: Some problems in Leonardo

Hi,

The trees look very light green. What LAD do they have? Did you check direction shortwave radiation values?

Re: Some problems in Leonardo

Hi Karen,

Yes, I don't see any tree cover either. Could you open a Leonardo Map of Atmosphere or Radiation in 3D and activate SpecialLayers. You will then see the tree (or not if not existent).

Hi,

No, it is not automatically changed. However, you are able to change the clothing factor in the personal parameters within Biomet.

Re: About the Fullforce simulation errors

Hi,

Simply put this total coverage into medium clouds. 9 is still not a valid value. It has to be between 0-8.

Re: About the Fullforce simulation errors

Hi,

Hours need to be given in HH instead of only H (you entered e.g. 8:00:00 instead of 08:00:00).
The cloud coverage is not correct. Values cannot exceed 8 in total (e.g. low 4, medium 2, high 2 would be the maximum as it is already 8 ). You entered 9, 9, 9 for some timesteps.

Re: A strange value appeared at 11 a.m

Hi, We cannot help you interpreting the results. However, some suggestions about your simulations: - always use latin characters for filenames - start the simulations at or shortly before sunrise (starting at nighttime does not make any sense) - the air is very humid (17 g/kg for spec. hum. in 2500 ...

Re: About the Fullforce simulation errors

Hi,

It says that your temperature is -268 °C. I am thus very sure that you entered °C in your CSV for FullForcing file creation instead of K.
