Re: Full Forcing

Hi,

I had the same issue. Have you checked that no time step is missing in your csv file ?

Best,
Benjamin

Re: Questions about radiation results

Hi Tim,

Thank you for the info. Now everthing looks right, I will be able to rerun my simulations.

Thank you for your support.

Re: Questions about radiation results

Hi Tim,

Thank you for your reply. I'm looking forward to your fix.

I have one more question. Is the bug affecting only roofs or all kinds of horizontal surfaces, like ground surface?

Best,
Benjamin

Re: Questions about radiation results

Hi Tim, I'am not sure to understand your answer correctly. Perhaps, my question is not clear enough. I'll try to make it clear. My principal focus is on the variable "Wall: Shortwave radiation received at facade" in the buildings folder, which is, if I am right, the sum of direct and diffu...

Re: Questions about radiation results

Hi Tim,

Thank you very much for the answer. It's much clearer for me.

But what about my first question? Why do I get {DNI + diffuse} on the roof instead of {DHI + diffuse}?

Re: Questions about radiation results

Hi Tim,

I know the area is very small. But it should not affect the radiative part. Should it?
Here are the four projects that I used as case studies.

Thank you for your help.

Re: Questions about radiation results

Dear Helge, I used either the beginner or the intermediate option with the default options as the boundary conditions. I am particularly interested in the incoming radiation on buildings' façades, therefore I am not looking to the results in the radiation folder but the variable "Wall: Shortwav...

Questions about radiation results

Dear ENVI-met team, I'm trying to get a better understanding of the radiation model of ENVI-met. But I get strange results. I use a simple cube (edges of 15m) as a case study. simple_cube.PNG 1) My first question is about the shortwave radiation received on the roof. Here is the radiation that I use...

Re: Forcing file problem

Hi Tim, I have the same issue with the forcing data. I have checked the CSV file, it is formatted as expected. As you can see in the screenshot, both simulation and forcing manager date and time should match. forcing_data_not_cover.PNG Just in case I am missing something, enclosed you will find the ...

Re: Abnormally high shortwave radiation values

Hi Tim,

Thank you very much for your help and the workaround. It looks as if it is doing very well.
I am waiting for the fixed version but so far, I should be able to run my simulations.

Kind regards,
Benjamin

Tim,
Here are the file for both both horizontal and not horizontal radiation measurements:

Re: Abnormally high shortwave radiation values

Hi Tim,

The result is exactly the same if I uncheck the horizontal parameter. I really don't get it.

Re: Abnormally high shortwave radiation values

I checked twice, and the "Radiation measured on horizontal surface?" parameter is checked. It is confirmed by the value of the tag radSurface in the fox file. The value is horizontal , and not lambert . I ran the simulation once again, after verification, and I still get more than 900 W/m²...

Abnormally high shortwave radiation values

Hi ENVI-met team! First of all, I would like to wish you a happy new year! I encounter problems with the shortwave radiation values. I use a really simple model to investigate on it. In the forcing manager, the solar irradiation looks like this: forcing_sw.PNG But the shortwave received at façade is...
