Re: panic dump error by water spray parameterization
Hi Laura, thank you for the fast reply and the hint with the Special ID. To the Waterspray issue: It is very confusing, that in the emission profile dialog box (see attached) the unit "µg/s" is desired, although "g/s" is needed. Even in the video linked by you, at 2:54 min the unit of "micrograms2 i...

panic dump error by water spray parameterization
Hi Tim, I ran a model including water spray with these parameters: • Source geometry: point • Default high: 4 m • 5 nozzles with emission rate of each single nozzle: 1.388.889 µg/s (which is 5l/h or 0,083 l/min) I started the model at 6 am, the spray should be working from 10 am to 6 pm. But I got t...

Re: Problems about get topography in monde
Hi Tim,
I have the same problem about getting topography but I can not find the URL with the bug fix.
Can you provide a link for it please?
best regards
Jakob

Re: How to build a shallow water area
Hi Tim, I found another quote for turbulent mixing in ENVI-met: " Thermal effects of the water body environments were computed using the micrometeorological model ENVI-met 4.1.3 (http://www.envi-met.com/). This ENVI-met version now enables the user to choose the intensity of turbulent mixing of the ...

Re: How to build a shallow water area
Hi Tim, thank you for your answer. But I am wondering why on the website below there are information regarding a "Mixing coefficient" best regards Jakob https://www.envi-met.com/cooling-effects-of-water-bodies-new-paper/ Hi Jakob, No, I don't see any parameter like turbulent mixing of water in the c...

Re: How to build a shallow water area
Hi Tim, thank you for this information. What about turbulent mixing of the water? Is it considered in the calculation of the heat content of the water. It would be useful particulary in running water. best regards Jakob Hi Jakob, No, it is not. The water layers between surface and ground are each ta...

Re: How to build a shallow water area
Hi Tim and Michael, thank you for your reply and for the test modelling. so I keep in mind (regarding to Jacobs, 2020) that the impact of small shallow water bodies for urban microclimate is low. But just for understanding one more question: Tim writes, that "a heat souce (as I understand the soil l...

Re: How to build a shallow water area
Hi Tim, I am a bit confused about building shallow water in ENVI-met. In the post below you write "There is no possibility of building a shallow water profile". But in the post "Specifiy depth of Water" Michael writes thar "you can specify different soil profiles in which you use the material „water...

Re: in SPACES: apply materials to buildings doesn't work
Hi Tim, its all in 2.5 mode. The .inx file was never converted to 3D. But it is a quite complex building model created form LOD2 data. Hi, Please check if you are in 2.5D or 3D mode. If you already made changes in 3D mode, they may override those apply material to whole facade settings because they ...

in SPACES: apply materials to buildings doesn't work
In SPACES, it is not possible to apply materials to buildings and it is very unsystematically: Some times the the materials for walls was adopted but not for the roof, sometimes both, facade and roof was not adopted. This happens both in the default database of Envi Met and in a user database and bo...

Re: MONDE beta: feature requests
Hi Michael, https://think-jena.de/images/layout/Fotos/monde_srtm30m.png Thank your for your advice. I tried to use the SRTM data in another part of the city and it worked with 30mSRTM. Picture 1. Worked only more north, not in my area of interest. So I tried not to use "fit map to SHP extend" while ...

Re: MONDE beta: feature requests
Hi Tim, when I use "Get Topography" in Monde the imported terrain data (ALOS and/or SRTM) is flat. The values for topography in "layer properties" also do not fit to this area (1000m to 1008m in Monde; in my model area 150m - 250m asl (City of Jena, Germany). When I "create ENVI-met Model" in Monde ...

Re: MONDE beta: feature requests
Hi Michael
MONDE is great to use GIS data for buildings!
I am using the latest update (WinterRelease 1819) and try using the DEM Export from MONDE but it does not work. Is there any other way to import terrain data (SRTM, other georeferenced raster terrain data,....) for my model area?
Jakob
