Re: Wind speed inside a street canyon

Thank you very much for your reply. I simulated for 2 hours, starting at 2 am. I decided this because the wind tunnel experiment doesn't have the influence of weather or sunlight. I haven't tried at different times during the day because I have constant weather conditions like temperature and humidi...

Re: Wind speed inside a street canyon

Hi Tim,
Thank you for your reply. I attached the figure of my model area.
I didn't use nesting grid, instead, I increased the border area. The grid dimensions are 192 x 254 x 54 with a resolution of 1m.

Thank you once more for your help in this matter.

Wind speed inside a street canyon

Hi ENVI-met team, I need to validate my ENVI-met results for my research. I'm using CODASC validation data (wind tunnel experiment data) because this validation data has been used in other research with ENVI-met. However, in my case, I don't get a good validation. I'm modelling an isolated street ca...

Nesting grids problem in Leonardo

Hi all, I simulated an area of 24.5m x 33m, resolution 0.5mx0.5mx2m (0.4m in the lowest 5 cells). I used 40 nesting grids and added them to the simulation to see them in Leonardo. I opened my area in Leonardo, and the main area looks very small, of course, so I cut the nesting grid to analyze my m...

Constant meteorological parameters

Hi everyone, I hope you're doing well. I need to validate my model against a wind tunnel experiment. To do this, I need to establish constant meteorological parameters. I already set the same Max and Min values for temperature and humidity, but still, I have variation in my model over the day. How c...

Thank you for your reply. Yes, of course. I attached the screenshot of the area with vectors.
Thanks

Vortex inside a street canyon

Dear team, I hope everybody is fine. I'm modelling a simple street canyon to assess the impact on green infrastructures removing particulate matter. The area is a simple street canyon with no vegetation. Building height is 10m with a fixed street width of 10m. Grid dimension 180 x 120 x 10 grid, res...

roughness lenght at the lowest cells

Hi all, I read a previous post about the roughness length (z0) at the lowest cells. I know that a high value of z0 is not recommendable, because z0 is automatically reduced to half the size of the lowest grid cell. So, if my model has 50 × 50 × 30, the grid resolution is 1, 1, 2, and my roughness le...

Set background concentration

Hi ENVI-met team
I'm trying to set the pollutant background concentration in the advance level, and every time it shows me 0 again: the number never changes. could you tell me the problem? I've the student licence

Deposition velocity

Hi all, I'm a beginner ENVI-met user, and I'd like to know, could I change the deposition velocity according to vegetation? Or the model set up this value. For example, I know that according to in-situ measurements, deposition velocity for pine is 2.8 cm s−1, and 0.6 cm s−1 for poplar. So, I'd like ...
