roof surface temperature

Post by MJ_SCH »

Hello everybody,

i have a question about roof surface temperatures: is it normal that for the "surface" file, buildings have the lowest values (see attached)? Or can i find roof surface temperatures in another file? As stated in a youtube tutorial, the buildings file for example only works in 3D-mode, which is not satisfying for my purpose.

PS: I used a DEM for simulation.

Best wishes and always thank you for your help!
Mathias

Dear Mathias,

you plotted the ground surface temperatures. In the location of buildings, it is the surface underneath the building, not the roof.
If you are interested in the roof temperatures, you should load the output data from buildings/dynamic into the 3d view of LEONARDO.
Have a look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Kl7OQXlxyc (around minute 1:44)

Thank you, Helge! This was the youtube tutorial i was talking about...so there seems no other option to load roof surface temperatures in a 2D-Mode?

Dear Mathias,

no, surface temperatures of 3d-objects can only be visualized in 3d.
