Temperature of roof

Postby verticalgreenteam » Sun Aug 18, 2019 7:55 pm

When comparing a model without any living walls and a model with 10% living walls I see that the roofs have the highest temperature difference. The temperature is the same on the whole roof. Is there a reason for so I can explain it for my thesis?

Hi,

You cut the model results in height level k=0, i.e. you cut through your buildings so you do not see any roof values there.
If you load the ENVI-metDefaults in Special Layer Settings, you will see that they will be displayed in black to indicate buildings.
To see the air temperatures above the roof, cut in a k level where the height is above the roof.
If you want to analyze the actual roof temperatures, you will have to load the buildings/dynamic output. See this tutorial video in order to see how they can be analyzed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArjEKtex9Mc&list=PL38puK0ekg-TXs0E1jn0Odj05Kso_nZv-&index=6.

Best regards,
Tim
