shortwave radiation

Post by a346 »

Hey,

I am investigating the shortwave radiation in the air reflected by an alumium wall. But I am struggling with the question which parameter to use.

- Radiation parameters in the atmosphere output folder or parameters in the radiation output folder. Where is the difference? The values are different. And what means lower and upper hemisphere in the radiation output folder?

- In the dynamic building output folder, there is the parameter Wall: Reflected shortwave radiation facade. Does this mean shortwave radiation, which is reflected by the wall or reflected shortwave radiation, that is received at the wall?

Thank you

Hi,

Radiation output folder holds all relevant values of radiation outputs. Some of them are additionally included in atmosphere output files to prevent the user from the need to switch folders too often. Upper hemisphere means coming from the upper directions (skywards) and lower hemisphere means coming from the lower directions (e.g. ground or objects below).

Wall: Reflected shortwave radiation facade means how much shortwave radiation was reflected by the wall. There is also another tag which is called Wall: Shortwave radiation received at facade where the amount of received shortwave radiation is shown.

Best regards,
Tim
