Discrepancy between input csv data, forcing file, and simulation results

Dear Envi-met team,
I noticed a strong discrepancy between the data in the csv file I feed to the forcing manager for the forcing file generation, the fox file itself, and the simulation results.

In fact in the case of wind speed:
if analyzing the borders of the simulation at 18:00 (at approximately 10 m height) the main value is somewhere around 1.3 m/s
The fox file graph reports a 1.3 m/s value at that time
in the csv file the value is 1.90m/s

Is it normal?
If so what is the reason for that?

Hi,

The wind speed value of the CSV is interpolated logarithmically to the height where temperature and humidity values are measured (usually around 2 m). The values in the FOX file (2 m height) are thus lower than in the CSV, if you had wind speed values measured in 10 m height before.
In the simulation, those wind speed values are again calculated logarithmically together with roughness length to achieve the wind speed value for every height. It thus may differ to the input values.
