Grasshopper 3D plant

Post by Yuha Han »

Is it normal for the trees to float in the air when you set up a 3d plant using Grasshopper and move to Envi-met spaces?

Hi,

What do you mean by trees floating in the air? Could you add a screenshot here?

Best regards,
Tim

Hi,

Please check out the trees in Albero. Tree crowns always kind of fly in the air as they do in reality. Lower levels most often only feature the trunk.

When I run the simulation while floating in the air like this, when I visualize the result at 1.5m in Leonardo, the trees are not displayed.
If so, is the visualization result (1.5m) not affected by trees?
I want to find temperature, wind speed, humidity and PET at 1.5m. I wonder if the influence is reflected even if the trees are not visually displayed.

Hi,

No, it is like in reality. Tree crowns are above human level and cast a shadow for people that might walk below. So, these trees of course influence the microclimate! If you cut in 1.5 m, you see objects in that height. Since tree crowns do not exist in that height, they are not displayed.

Best regards,
Tim
