Envi-Met Rhino Plugin

Postby Dvin.bh » Tue Aug 20, 2019 7:00 am

Hello,
In the expert lesson, Building Physics: 2/3, the speaker says that there is a rhino plugin that can be used in Envi-met to make vertical separation in buildings. However, i am unable to find the plugin. Can anyone please help me to download it.

Thank you.
Kind Regards
Devin

Hi Devin,

It is a ladybug plugin for grasshopper and can also be found on github (https://github.com/AntonelloDN/lb_envimet).
You'll find a tutorial video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pELXlYhpFGk&list=PL38puK0ekg-TXmzPQjupDiDL2grRJ3063

Best regards,
Tim

Hello Tim

Thank you for your reply.
I was able to create some .inx files while following the video you suggested. Moreover, I tried to use Grasshopper to design the interior walls, but when converting the file to .inx and opening it in Envi- Met Spaces, the inner walls were not appearing.
Any guide or video on how to solve this issue?

Kind regards
Devin

Hi Devin,

I don't use the plugin, so I cannot help you very much with that.
In general, we don't use any interior walls for ENVI-met. What can be digitized are flats or parts of a building with a specific volume bein seperated from the rest. If you mean that, you could check for the buildings numbers which separate the building parts by number.

Best regards,
Tim
