Hi team,

I have placed many trees in my model, but saw little shading effect on reducing air temperature. can you explain why?

Dear byronyue924,

the shading mainly effects the radiation processes and new air is transported beneath the tree constantly -> you don't see a significant reduction in air temperature underneath a tree (also not in real life). What you feel as cooler conditions under a tree in real life is the reduced incoming radiation. You can also see this effect in ENVI-met when looking at the shortwave direct radiation outputs.
