[LBC-TYPES] problems

[LBC-TYPES] problems

Dear Envi-met team,
There are three different kinds of LBC could be selected in ENVI-met. So I would like to choose cyclic LBC for my simulation model.
However, after I select cyclic in ConfigWizard, when I re-open the file and it automatically returns to the default settings.
[LBC-TYPES] _______________________________________
LBC for T and q (1:open, 2:forced, 3:cyclic) =3
LBC for TKE (1:open, 2:forced, 3:cyclic) =3
RETURN TO
[LBC-TYPES] _______________________________________
LBC for T and q (1:open, 2:forced, 3:cyclic) =1
LBC for TKE (1:open, 2:forced, 3:cyclic) =2


What should I do to solve the problems?

Hi Lina,

just don't care about the values shown in the Wizard in this case. It is important what is written in the file and as you posted it is LBC Type 3, so your settings (LBC type cyclic) are saved and will be used in the simulation.

Di you use Simple Forcing?
In that case you cannot set the LBC

Dear Michael,

No. I do not use Simple Forcing. I only use LBC setting.
And I also find that when I was simulating it showed FLOAING POINT DIVISION BY ZERO.

And it stopped and no more simulation.
How can I fix them?

Dear Tim,

Thank you so much for your quick response.
I try to ignore that and keep simulation. However, it stops and showing Floating point division by zero.

How can i fix it?

that might be caused by something else. Please search the forum for other topics discussing the Floating Point error.
