Greening: longwave radiation emitted and air temperature

Post by Ila »

Hello Envi-met team,
I'd like to understand the difference between Building and Wall longwave radiation emitted in Leonardo.
I've simulated a building with a green facade (substrate and air gap)... Does the building value take into account all the layers?

I've another doubt, which is the difference between "greening: air temperature Canopy" and "greening: air temp. in front of greening"?

Thanks for your kind attention,

Best regards,
Ilaria

Hi Ilaria,

Yes, the Wall longwave radiation only shows the values for the wall and the Building longwave radiation also includes greening and substrate.

"Greening: air temperature Canopy" gives you the values for the air temperature within the greening, whereas "Greening: air temp. in front of greening" gives you the air temperature of the free atmosphere cell in front of the facade.

Best regards,
Tim
