wrong PET calculation

Postby Envi_1234 » Mon Mar 23, 2020 6:43 am

Dear all,

my PET is calculated not correctly. I have two models that are alsmost identical. Only difference are the added Buildings and some more trees in the middle of the middle modle, compared to the left one. Meteorolgical Settings, human Settings for the PET calculation are all identical. But why differs the PET in the neigborhood, where the added Buildings and trees cannot have any Impact on the PET About -2 K?? That cannot be correct. Air Temperature and Humidity should be calculated correct by the program and making sense.

Thank you in Advance.

Hi,

Why would you include them in your model area if they had no impact on the microclimate conditions of your model area? They do have influence on all meteorological parameters, only think about the change of the wind flow and shadowing. You made huge changes in the second model area, which can definitely cause such differences in PET depending on wind direction, time of observation etc.

Best regards,
Tim
