questions about solar access

Postby clay » Wed May 13, 2020 8:53 am

I would like to ask a few questions about solar access.

1) I know that sun hour terrain level (h) is a sum of sun hours out of whole day,
and I simulated my task for 24h from 6 am 08.01.19 to 6 am 08.02.19
then, What time was 'the sun hours terrain level' calculated from? and how long?
(ex. from 6 am 08.01.20 to 6 am 08.02.20 (24h)??
or from 6 am 08.01.20 to 12 pm 08.01.20 (18h)?? or just only during my simulation time?)

2) What is difference between 'sun hours terrain level' and 'sun hours biomet level'?

Hi Clay,

Solar access is calculated for a whole day of 24 hours for your simulation start day as well as equinoxes and solstices. It is thus independent of your simulation time and duration.
Terrain level is the level of terrain (ground). Biomet level is were biometeorological analysis is made, around 1.5 m above ground.
