CSV file creation

Postby eyeslimpid » Tue Jun 30, 2020 6:19 pm

Hello,
I was trying to create CSV file to use for Full Forcing boundary condition. I made the Excel file first, and converted it into CSV file. However, when I inserted it into ENVI guide, the message said, "Error."

I checked the filed structure and separation option as " , " but did not work.

How can I create the CSV file from excel file?
I was going to upload my excel file but this board did not allow me to upload it.

Please help.

Thanks.

Hi,

Please check all other posts about Full Forcing problems with CSV. The file structure is probably not exactely as needed.
If that will not help and anything else than the already described issues is happening in your case, you may zip the file and upload it here.

Best regards,
Tim

Hi,

Did you check the file in a text editor?
Decimal separator needs to be different to value separator (e.g. a dot instead of comma).
Don't use quotes (").
In newer ENVI-met versions you need an additional precipitation column.

Best regards,
Tim

Hi Tim,

I changed the file format (inserted precipitation and changed , to . and deleted header) and it worked well.

Thank you for your help!
