Full Forcing without Longwave data

Postby meteoman79 » Fri Jul 31, 2020 4:58 pm

Dear EnviMET users,
I would like to run the model using Full Forcing mode….
I have got all data (temp, RH, SW, DIFF, Precipitation, Wind data) except longwave data (LW)….
Is there any way to run the model by skipping this parameter?
If I fill in its values (perhaps with seasonal daily values), is it going to produce incorrect results?
The Longwave data corresponds to IR Sky or IR Ground values?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

If you force with radiation (which I would definitely recommend), you need to enter longwave radiation as well to get reasonable results. It is the longwave radiation coming from the sky.

Best regards,
Tim
